ゲームの攻略法ばかり書いている攻略本のなかで、この攻略本の出来は素晴らしい。あくまでも、世界観を第一にしているのだ。例えば空母レーガンの移動について、
「バンゲリング帝国が支配するこの10キロの海域を我がR・レーガンは、約8分40秒ほどで一周する。外の世界とは完全に引き離された世界ではあるが、時間だけは外の世界と同じに進んでいるらしい。
　祖国にいる父母、そして妻や子供も、同じ時間を生きているのだ！　そう思うだけで奴らと戦う勇気が沸いてくる。」
と解説していたり、ゲーム中、自機がダメージを受けると海の色が赤くなっていくが、そのことについても、
「海が真っ赤に燃えるとき、戦いの勇者がまた散って行く。」
と記している。私はこの素晴らしい攻略本に出会ったからこそ、このバンゲリングベイというゲームに愛着を持っているのかもしれない。バンゲリングベイの開発スタッフ、そしてこの攻略本の編集者の方々に深く敬意を表します。
